This week Governor Cuomo announced that summer camps should plan to open this year, which was exciting news and much appreciated after the extended uncertainty of last spring!
The governor also indicated that there will be updated guidance arriving in the coming weeks from the state Department of Health, including testing protocol requirements. While we eagerly await those details, we have already been hard at work preparing for the upcoming season.
To get the latest information, please join us for a Scouts BSA Summer Camp Roundtable, this upcoming Monday, February 22, at 7:00 PM. Register using the link below. The Zoom link will be provided in your registration confirmation email (from “No-Reply@247Scouting.com”).
We are in the process of developing our covid protocols for summer camp, which will be further refined when we receive the updated guidance from the Department of Health, and the BSA. We likely will not have final answers to all of your questions when we meet on Monday, but we will share what we know at this time, and we plan to hold these meetings on a monthly basis throughout the spring to keep you up to date with the latest changes.
The roundtables will be recorded and posted to our camp YouTube channel. (Subscribe today!)
