Camp Administration

Joel Uline

Property Manager/Camp Ranger
Joel is a second generation ranger at RSR.  He succeeded his father, Joe “Grizz” Uline, as ranger in 1994.  Joel has earned BSA National Camping School certifications in the COPE, Climbing, and Ranger sections and has served as a Camp School instructor in the Climbing and Ranger sections as well.  He is responsible for the year-round maintenance of the camp’s 1300 acre property and coordinates all improvements to the facilities.  He is an Eagle Scout, Vigil Honor member of the OA, Silver Beaver honoree, and father of an Eagle Scout.  Joel is also a volunteer fireman and member of the New York State Urban Search and Rescue team.

Brian Murray

Resident Camp Director

Brian joined the staff at RSR in 1994 and has previously worked as a scoutcraft instructor, COPE director, and program director.  He has served as camp director since 2001.  Brian has earned BSA National Camping School certifications in COPE, Camp Program, Shooting Sports, and Camp Management and has served as an NCS Instructor of Resident Camp Administration.  Brian is an Eagle Scout, Vigil Honor member of the OA, and Silver Beaver honoree.  He works as a social studies teacher at a Capital District high school.

Josh Clark

Resident Camp Program Director

Josh began working at RSR as a Counselor in Training (CIT) in 2010.  Since joining the full time staff in 2011, he has been an instructor in the Trail to First Class, Ecology, and Scoutcraft programs, and has served as the director of both TTFC and Scoutcraft.  Josh has earned BSA National Camping School certifications in Outdoor Skills, Cub Scout Day Camp Administration, and Program, and he is a certified Leave No Trace Master Educator.  Josh is an EMT and a licensed veterinary technician.  He is currently pursuing a degree in education.
