A Scout is Helpful
The Thunderbird Club was started as a way for past staff members and friends of RSR to contribute directly to the camp for projects and programs that positively affect the campers’ experiences while at camp. All donations to the Thunderbird Club are used solely to enhance the facilities and purchase program equipment for Rotary Scout Reservation above and beyond the operating budget.
Here are just a few of the projects the Thunderbird Club has funded since its founding in 1998:
The Joe “Grizz” Uline Memorial Picnic Pavilions
The Thunderbird Club supplemented the over $10,000 in designated funds raised for this project in memory of Grizz.
Pavilions in all campsites as well as the Community Safety and Trail to First Class program areas
A beach volleyball court near Seneca Lodge
Program supplies for new initiatives
Basketball court
Welcome kiosk at the Camp Office
Archery pavilion
In recent years the Thunderbird Club has been primarily raising funds to support the development and construction of the John E. Tutein STEM Center.
Thank you to all of those who have supported the Thunderbird Club with their time, talents, and financial contributions.
